5 Minutes with Aaron, Gixo Trainer

If you’ve taken one of my classes, you probably won’t be surprised to hear I always had way too much energy as a kid. Not that that’s changed much since I became a grown up! So, naturally, exercise is a great outlet for me. It’s also my “me” time —  a break in my hectic day to simply zone out, especially if I’m going for a run. I use my time on the move to think — to assess my current priorities, goals, and where I’m spending my time.

I love working in fitness because my job is to help people be two things I highly value: active and healthy! When I train people, I remember that the most valuable lessons I’ve learned in life have all come about from some kind of setback or challenge. Hardships aren’t always easy to overcome, but you emerge stronger on the other end. Physically and emotionally.


Since I’m a runner, Run Club is my absolute favorite workout. On land, that is. I also do water sports any time I can. You’ll find me out there jet skiing, wakeboarding, wake surfing, flyboarding, tubing…you name it. I prioritize my time to get in five workouts a week — on land or lake. My go-to pre-workout snack is a banana, and my post-workout treat is a smoothie.

I’m a big believer that if you’re just getting started with fitness, or a new approach to exercise, fall in love with the process, and the results will come!
